A very dull day weatherwise, but a beautiful trip to Forde Abbey and gardens

The fountain, which runs as specified times of the day, reaches 120 feet high!.. Just a shame the sky was so grey and dull.. but at least an impression of it follows

Finally the light got better!

And on the way back, I stopped for a brief visit to  Bridport !

Forde Abbey and Gardens revisted

Today I headed off to Forde Abbey and gardens.. I first visited in October 2010 with Pete ..and the weather today was just as dull as it was then.. and we're in August!!

However, just lovely to wander amongst the gardens areas and flowers!!

Installed in 2005 by the Roper family,  the fountain, rising to 160  feet is considered to be the highest powered fountain in England

A blue sky to set it against would have been good :D ..

A cuppa with a view!

Lovely to be there again...
