Arundel WWT & Winkworth Arboretum

Funny old day today... cold - no problem with that; sunny - glorious; light conditions - awful for photography - misty and very bright glare!!

I headed off for Arundel in search of the Great White Egret - I thought it was a recent arrival but seems it's been there for 3 weeks - ish..  and roosts there as well I'm told.

Needless to say it was way over the other side of the water!!

Loads of Canada Geese being very active

A Kingfisher came by ... be nice if it had come closer!!

Captive Goldeneyes...

Love this female Mallard sun bathing!

and then on to Winkworth Arboretum - a lunch scone.. and up to the usual high standard!

Wow - so lovely to see flowering daffodils..

and in a week or so... this walk will be bathed in yellow :)

Great day out in the winter sunshine...
