Wandering the west coast of Guernsey... a wonderful day!

The sun was predicted for an appearance this afternoon.  I decided I wanted  exercise so headed off for the west of Guernsey.. it's an amazing and diverse coastline

First stop and Shovelers were very evident..

Stonechat (unless anyone tells me otherwise! :) )

I just drove along the coast, stopping several times..

and eventually the sun came out, it got very much warmer, the waves were gently lapping and I was thoroughly enjoy the views, sun and being there!!

Love this view!!

If anyone can identify please ?

Greenfinches everywhere!

Walked up to Fort Hommet which is a nature reserve as well.. amazing views, gentle sea, birds , a host of wild flowers.. spent ages here.. just sitting on rocks..

Wonderful day and great to have the sunshine!!!

Caroline - my apologies for not publishing your comment earlier. ~Been having problems with blogger. I can certainly recommend Guernsey and it has an excellent bus service around the island!

Bill, at last comments have been successful. Many thanks for the ID as ever!
