This time last year we were having record high temperatures for April. Not so this year - today it snowed quite heavily albeit it didn't stay very long.
And now, as I write this at 18.30 (BST), the sun is shining brilliantly.
It's so weird to see Ring-necked Parakeets on the
snow-covered feeders.
I'm sure this Coot, who is building a very desirable residence, wished she had some covering on the roof the the nest!

Your snow looks far more exciting than ours!
It never settled, unless you count a very thin layer on top of cars.
We had plenty of birds in the garden though, and it even saw the return of the Starlings after having remained unseen for the last month or two.
Did you just have the Parakeets visiting?
Hi Liz - other birds visited - finches, starlings, dunnocks, robins etc.
The snow did disappear quite quickly though and the later snow showers didn't settle. Still might cold though!
Hi Tricia,
We only had the odd few minutes of snow showers in between sunshine where I live in Dorset. It seems that everywhere else had snow but it skirted around us.
