Autumn colour at Sheffield Park

The Autumn colours seem to have appeared in a rush this year - wonderful to see.

I had a trip down to Mum earlier on in the week and as the weather wasn't too bad we had a visit to Sheffield Park Gardens. The colours as expected were amazing but the day was rather grey but at least it was reasonably mild and dry....

We'd avoided a weekend visit and the number of visitors at this time of the year can detract a little from the experience. So if you have a choice (and I know some of us don't), a weekday is better! And even on a Monday, the car park was full!!!

The house is not part of the gardens and I've always been curious about it... interesting looking building though!

Beautiful :). I particularly like #3, very abstract.

Autumn beautifully set out in its burnished dresses! Lovely photos of the colours reflected in the water, and the brilliant tree. The 'house' is very impressive looking!

Beautiful autumn colours in some lovely photos, Tricia. I particularly like the photos showing reflections in the water and that house does look very interesting.

The reflections photos are beautiful, but the photo I like the most is the pampas grass (?) with the red behind it; such a contrast of color and texture. Great stuff, Tricia.

Those colours are amazing Tricia.
The Japanese Maple, (I think that's what it is), is stunning.

Wow these trees with the red leaves are amazingly beautiful.... I would love to get so many colors around here but it is all gone already because of the storm. Anyway, we never get so colorful leaves!
