My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

Warnham NR... very quiet today

The weather is more like November than June.. grey wet and very windy.  I needed some fresh air so nipped over the Warnham.

Nice to see a pair of Great Crested Grebes..
But the water was quite choppy for an inland lake!!

On the far side a group of Grey Herons.. several nest at Warnham

Mute swans had finally had some young..  3 there today and a Grebe managed to get in shot too....

The great tit was feeding a family of young...

Very cheery colour of the irisis..

Female Reed Bunting (?)

and a family of 7 young Mallard ducklings..

So home I went... not the best of days but I got some fresh air... and now the sun's trying to come out :D
