Well.. I'm on hols in the Cotswolds for a few days... I arrived about 1 hr 30 mins later than intended!! Part of which was one of the main roads was closed for a few miles which meant a fairly lengthy and very slow diversion.
However, I arrived in Bourton ..
and stopped for breakfast!
and after breakie and a wander, I set off for Hidcote Gardens.. a particular favourite!!
If you're on your own, and the cafe procedure is you choose your table, note the number and then go and get your food, it's impossible to do this unless you have a coat or something you can leave unattended at your chosen table. So this is, IMHO, a brilliant idea.. and it worked!!
and stopped for a scone for lunch
and a further lovely stroll through the gardens..
The weather was glorious, sunny mostly and warm.. great start to the week.. hope it continues!!
