Audley End Gardens... at the end of three motorways!!

I left home in sunshine this morning for a trip up to Essex.  M23 - was lovely.. the sun was shining the sky was blue (we'd had a heavy frost) and in the car it was very warm  It got very much warmer as I sat in the car, and sat, and sat... someone had broken down near the Dartford crossing - hey ho..a twenty minute delay.  The onto the M11 - great I thought, I'll really get going... wrong...!!  This time a lorry had shed its load near the junction I needed....I left the motorways eventually.

I arrived at Audley End.. and by now the sun and blue sky were figments of my imaginations... regrettably the grey cloud.... wasn't!!

But the views were good and the birdlife was very active and the spring flowers were wonderfully colourful.
