Borde Hill and then onto Standen...

Had to take my car into the repair centre garage today.(and was late - accident on my route!!). and as Borde Hill was very close, I decided to visit after that.. sat in the car park for a bit waiting for it to open.

The sun was shining again, and it was warm.. lovely..

Mr. Ponders decided it was time to have a look over the Rose garden..

A wooden sculpture with a fish theme.. the light wasn't good..

Some of the sculpture from an exhibition earlier this year are still around..

and from there, I went to Standen for a scone for lunch... not the best one I've had.. nice taste but a little on the dry side.. was it yesterday's scone?....

Standen are replacing the retaining wall and replanting the flower bed..

I don't know what this plant is but the scent was wonderful...

the chickens like apples too it seems...
