My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

A colourful visit to Standen..

Well, after yesterday's warm sunshine, we were back to seasonal norm.. grey skies today but still relatively mild.

Standen had some colour though ..

Time for lunch.. a cheese scone.. much appreciated!

and a wander through the house .. which I could live in!!

This room has only just come on display... was a 'busy' room decoratively.. but somehow it worked well!

Where's Ted gone?.. he used to be in the hip bath!

A small exhibition of Arthur Rackham's books and illustrations.. brought back memories!

and in the kitchen.   biscuits were being cooked.. in fact, Spiced Ginger Biscuits.. I had one.. it was great! thank you to the two volunteers in the kitchen, so enjoyed my visit!

ah ah ah cheese!!! and they weren't allowed any!!

Another wander outside in the gardens

The Quarry... closed today because of a rock fall..

and to leave - on a colourful note.  Lovely visit as always and thanks to all the volunteers I talked with today!
