A murky day for visits to Wimpole Hall & Audley End

 I arrived before the main gardens and house were open.

Decided to have breakie as the mist was still quite dense... a pleasant scone...

By then the house was open as were some of the rooms... decorated for Christmas

It all looked rather pretty...

A new take on a selfie.......

By now it was time for lunch, but decided to head off for Audley which was virtually on the way home..  it was getting a bit brighter!!

The crows have been taking off all the grass to get at (I believe) the Chafer bugs again..

and then the sun did come out and for a while there was some blue sky!!

Lovely walk in some watery sunshine.. but as I drove south on the M11... it got foggier and foggier.. not pleasant at all....
