Further froggy frolics

Today I think Spring arrived. The sun was out and wonderfully warm; so where was I? I'd planned to go to the London Wetland Centre at Barnes or at least get out with my camera for a walk but..... but other events overtook me and I didn't get anywhere - sigh. Whilst I was awaiting various other events to happen I did manage to get some gardening done and during this , I was being serenaded by frogs in the pond - again! Today there were anything up to 10 frogs visible at any one time.

The crocuses in the front garden were opening their petals under the sun

This chappie was looking rather pleased with life!

and yet more spawn!

Frantic activity continues..

And as I type this (albeit somewhat later than usual), the frogs are still singing....
This year they're definitely spawning over a longer period...... - and if they don't stop soon, you might get very bored with my posts!

Beautiful clear pictures as always Tricia. I've made my mind up on the 50D body and providing the weather stays kind I will nip out and get one next week.

Lovely photos Tricia, I'm glad Spring has finally arrived for you :)

I have more popping up by the day, very exciting. Although the crocuses don't seem to be as good as last year so far... I didn't realise they were only once flowering??? Bit of a shame, hopefully more will come soon enough.

Oooh John - you little devil you! (and thank you!)

I must admit I've never regretted it and feel it more than justifies the cost. Bear in mind though, that I am using a 100 - 400mm lens!

Hi Tricia
Love the crocus, beautiful little flowers.

(This tale of Spawn is rapidly turning in to a tale Porn)

Thanks Roy.

You may well be right! Lol
So far, one member of my family has "accused" me of voyeurism through watching the frogs and another has suggested I'm publishing porn.

Hope my blog doesn't get censored!

Lovely pictures, Tricia.

I used to be called Crocus back home, as it is the same sound in pronunciation of Yoke.

Therefore it is a little flower close to my heart and your photo makes me smile too.

Mel - thanks
Paul - the sun created the lighting effect all by itself Lol
Digi - you won't regret it! (but I was only about 6 feet away from the frogs on 400mm zoom)

I Love your frog posts! Could you send some my way... not much stirring in mine! Having had lovely Spring weather last weekend, we now have 4 inches of snow! Unheard of in Dorset in March... Roll on spring! Jane
