Today it was the birds' eyes that caught my attention
Male Mallard - they really do have the most amazing colours..
(the pictures really do benefit from being viewed full size - just click on the picture)

Black Swan (collection bird)

Chiloe Wigeon (collection birds)

Red Crested Pochard

Mandarin Duck (male)

Frozen waters...

A snow covered amphitheatre. Hard to imagine that in the summer months when Claremont has open-air concerts, we sit on the ground here to listen to the music!

Phil (Jackie's husband)
Hi Phil - fine and thanks for the link. Hope you're both well too :)
Tricia, your photos are, as ever, absolutely gorgeous. I hope I come back as a duck!
Beautiful photos with all the eyes. Everything else looks COLD! Very interesting to see some of the ducks in the water and others so close on the ice.
Love the Mandarin - beautiful colours.
Beautiful photos. I love the Mandarin!
Great work!
Lily - thank you - I don't know what I'd like to come back as! Lol
Mick - it not only looks, but is, very cold but some of the ducks were even asleep on the ice!!
FAB - probably THE most colourful bird!
MainBirder - Hi and thanks and good to see you here.
Some lovely Robin photos Tricia. With all that snow your blog looks like Wytchwood Ramblings!
