Youngsters at Hatfield Forest and Rye Meads

Well today it's been sunny and so much warmer and not a drop of rain!! Fantastic

A visit to Hatfield Forest and then Rye Meads - fairly quiet on the whole.  There are 5 Great Crested Grebes on the late at Hatfield... sadly there had been one that died during the last week.  I do hope it wasn't the partner of one of the two nesting pairs!

Mum Mallard with youngsters in tow.

One of two terns seen today

Another pair of Grebes... lots of head waggling

A Swallow posed above my head

and at Rye Meads...more youngsters....

and that's about it for today... off to do the shopping now ...

Great set of shots to look at, Tricia. The little ducklings are precious.
