My first full day and Durlston Country Park was my chosen place to visit. The weather was glorious and given I was in search of a Lulworth Skipper . .. this boded well. Whether I found one or not, I don't know. Flutters everywhere but given the sun and warmth, very few landed. Marbled Whites were everywhere and almost common place.
I walked for miles along, up and down, the very rough at times, coastal path.. bliss!!
I visited Tilly Whim caves as a child with my parents.. alas today this is no longer possible - memories evoked though
and then on to Corfe Castle which wasn't too far away.. On the walk up the hill from the car park, a herd of cows. This one was licking the other.. and they both seemed to benefit from it!
Somehow you wonder what keeps these giant parts of the old castle from tumbling down below.
a lovely sweet shop.. and succumbed by buying some locally made fudge.
Very nice it was too¬¬
The church.. in Corfe
A glorious day.. a beautiful and challenging walk.. feeling very happy.
