East Sussex in Spring-like sunshine

After the atrocious weather of yesterday (strong winds and torrential rain) and the same about to descend again tomorrow, it was great to get out for a short walk with a very good friend of mine over in East Sussex.

The sun was actually warm and the sky - blue!!  It could have been April today, not the beginning of January

On the local pond, Canada Geese and Black-headed gulls... don't know where the Mallards had gone!

A wander along the Cuckoo trail... we had a couple of fallen trees to negotiate..

Amazingly there were Catkins!!

Dozens of gulls flying about..

and back to the pond.

Just so annoying that a headache curtailed the day's activity... hopefully the next visit will be very soon.
