An experiment with cameras Nikon V1 v Panasonic G3

As I mentioned in my earlier post today , I had some more pictures to post from my visit to WWT Barnes and Bushy Park.  The subjects are varied as I was comparing the performance/capabilities of two cameras with similar lenses.  I'd tried as much as possible to have the settings the same as possible and mostly, in my view, one came out better overall than the other.  I'll leave you to decide which you prefer!

Interesting comparison that Tricia - especially the way some of the colours vary.

In most cases I prefer the photos taken by the Panasonic although I wouldn't say no to either of those cameras :)

A great set of comparative shots. On the whole the Panasonic seems to give bolder colours. I feel that Panasonics come in to their own on very close shots. To me the lenses seem to be at their sharpest then.

The orange flower shot is great. I think Panasonic did better. In the first photo the Nikon shot is great.

The labels for Nikon 6 and Panasonic 6 seems to be reversed.
Overall Nikon images look sharper - I prefer the Nikon look
