I like planning days out but equally it's great to be spontaneous; met up with Pete at
Chartwell (in Kent) today - Chartwell being the home of Sir Winston Churchill. We've been before but today there was hardly any wind, the sky was (almost) totally blue and the sun shone. So after brekkie of Bacon and Cheese Scone and a cuppa we wandered off around the garden.
It was warm enough to sit on a bench and gaze out enjoying the views..
We had Leek and Potato Soup for lunch - quite filling and very nice! Coffee Cake looks delish... but we resisted....
By the time we left the clouds were more evident and the temperature had dropped a bit in the more obvious wind now. Good day out though :D
