Kingston upon Thames and Polesden Lacey

I knew I needed to get out...the forecast was grim...the reality was grim... Grey sky, rain and sleet.

I decided I'd avoid Petworth as there are roadworks in the middle of the village - and narrow road - which were shut.  So decided I'd head off to Polesden Lacey - as I got nearer the rain intensified so I continued to Kingston upon Thames.

I visited All Saints Church (full of history) there before doing some grocery shopping!

You leave the church and come out into the market place...the market isn't as good as it was some years' ago... which was all food - nowadays it seems anything goes!

so some shopping and then the rain finally stopped.  Off to Polesden Lacey - had a quick bit to eat in their cafe and then a wander around.. until the rain started again!

good to see some new growth... lots of new plants poking their heads above the ground :D

What a great lot of pictures. That bread is making me salivate. Lovely colours in the church. Gotta love the chickens and those plants that are blooming, oh my, I wish!
