Standen House - dressed for Christmas

Really needed to get out today and the weather was awful.  So given Standen's house is not only open, but dressed for Christmas I headed off.

It was drizzling when I arrived, so started off with a tour of the house

and thne outside to the Christmas Tree in the Courtyard- created by Timorous Beasties..

and a fruit scone for lunch with Billie

and, fianally, the clouds started to clear and the sun started to appear

The Bothy

The Quarry is still be renovated (so limited access) but improvements can be seen already

Good to get out for a wander in the fresh air..
