Warnham & Horsham Park in the snow

Was going for a dental appointment today but the main road I needed was shut due to an accident.. the roads were treacherous with ice and snow.  I re-arranged my appointment for another day

I waiting for the snow to ease and when it did I headed off for Warnham Nature Reserve

A lot of the water was frozen... the numerous gulls weren't impressed.

neither were this pair of resting Mallards

even Ponders thought it wasn't good..

Round by the feeders was a bit more activity

Long-tailed Tit

At least 3 Robins were about

Cheery colours of the male Pheasant

and winter colour of the male Chaffinch

A female Great Spotted Woodpecker was glad of a 'fatty' meal

and a Reed Bunting hoovered up the seeds

as did this Song Thrush

I then headed off for a bit to eat in Horsham.. hot coffee was welcome as it was freezing today

and then a short walk in Horsham Park.. where it snowed!!

At least it was good to have a bit of exercise and some fresh air

Love the grumpy, flustered looking gull. The robin is vivid, and the long tailed tits cute as ever.
