West Dean Gardens & Benbow Pond

Beautiful day in terms of sunshine but very very cold in the icy wind.  And the forecast for the next few days is artic easterly wind and snowfall... watch this space it seems.

So off to West Dean Gardens looking as beautiful as ever.

Masses of snowdrops and well worth a visit to see them, apart from the gardens and fields in general

Parsely & Sage, Herdy sheep enjoying the snowdrops and sunshine

Watching in the distance, their woolly cousins..

This stone was in one of the shelters..

In the crow's nests..

I don't know what these miniature blue flowers are but they are lovely!!

The water that runs through the gardens is so clear you can easily see the greenery below...

A lovely walk followed by a very tasty sandwich in West Dean's cafe..

And the sun was still shining so had a short potter at Benbow Pond in Cowdray Park - one day I must explore more!

Lovely day out... and out of the wind, it really was quite 'warm'!!
