Polesden Lacey with blue sky after days of rain..

Having been so lucky with the weather in Madeira, it was quite an adjustment coming back to normal UK weather.... days of rain and the greyest of skies.

Today was the exception, - clear blue skies and sunshine.

As I stepped outside to the car this morning, this Starling was making the most of it up on the roof!

And then at Polesden - the trees, at this time of the year - naked of leaves really do stand out displaying their shape so well.

A Nuthatch was here and also two Ring-necked Parakeets - who wouldn't face the camera!

and a stop for a welcome cuppa and a scone!  Fez was our companion today...

High above a plane cruised..

As we stood by the house, soaring high above was a Red Kite.. great to see it....

 Out of curiosity I stopped briefly in this car park on the way back... great views!

A great day out and so glad to get some fresh air and exercise after several days of not getting out  for an exercise at all..
