The 2nd part of Sicily - having moved north to Palermo - 1 April, 2019

Although I've been home from Sicily now for a few days, I'm still catching up on editing and publishing my pictures.  Seems I've taken so many!!..

So our first full day in Palermo and we headed out of the city, to the neighbouring area that is Monreale and a visit to the beautiful Monreale Cathedral which is one of the greatest examples of Norman architecture in the world.  Viewing the exterior of the cathedral just doesn't prepare you for the amazing golden paintings and the spectacular mosaics inside.
