Back to normal

The last couple of days I've spent in West and East Sussex in the sun!!! it was soooo good to feel the warmth of the sun again - really raises the spirits.

Not many photo opportunities but I did have a wander around Richmond Park last week - in rather dull and cloudy weather.

And I did manage a couple of pics when we went for a walk along the beach at Ferring on Friday evening - just as the sun was sinking!

Richmond Park
Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea)
Europe's largest Heron

Jackdaw (Corvus monedula)

Ferring

Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris)

I like the beach pictures very much. Can you name the birds please as nothing is common here on the other side of the world.

Thanks Tricia. When I was very little there were not so many books about Australian nature for children but we had lots of books about English birds and animals. Some of these have remained names in books for me so it is very interesting to read your blog and to have these things named.
