Birds and bees - in November warmth!

Another Saturday on a traffic free M23 and M25... this can't last!!

The sun shone brilliantly and with considerable warmth for a November day - in fact it was more like a spring day than late Autumn.

I went shopping for a camera bag - with a resounding nil success!

But out in Hatfield Forest the Cormorants, in particular, were entertaining and active.

The Black-headed Gulls were screeching as is their wont..

A couple of Great Crested Grebes were diving for fish

and again, the Cormorants wanted to be centre stage....

A Canada Goose swam lazily

and a lone Greylag goose in amongst all the Canadas...

and sheep may safely graze
(unfortunately behind a wire mesh fence -( hence the rather cropped look to the picture)

and finally - a bee on Ragwort
(originally posted as a "big on Ragwort and now amended thanks to Keith and OC )

Great to see the sun about isn't it.
Love the 'big' on the Ragwort ;-)

You got some good feather detail in the Cormorant shots. New camera OK?

If you're still after a camera bag, I've got a Tamrac Expedition 4, used once. E-mail me if you're interested Tricia.

Perfect flight shots Tricia and the gull with the bow wave is great.
