My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

Just a wee Robin today..

I woke at ridiculous-o'clock this morning and then couldn't get my act together for the rest of the day. I was going to Pulborough Wildbrooks but the sky was very dark grey. I then considered Sheffield Park for some Autumn Colour. But, for the latter, you really need little wind and some very blue sky dressed in sunshine. Erm, erm... all in very short supply today, so that wasn't an option.

The hides (at Pulborough) have quite a distance between them and I didn't want the (non-waterproof) camera to get wet.

Instead I went to WWT Arundel. Very light of birds as seems the case everywhere at the moment.

I sat by the feeders for a bit but they're under trees and in very deep shade so not really conducive to taking pictures.

The feeders in the main, were full.. I couldn't see into this one but judging by the robin's activities, I think it may have been empty.

and that's it for today; I took a massive number of pictures.... 4 of them and 3 discarded!! This is as good as it got today...

And it must be getting colder - my hands wished my brain had remembered to put gloves in the jacket pocket! From now on......

You managed a cute robin pic though Tricia and I love the swan photo from yesterday.

Hopefully, things on the birding front (and the weather!) will improve soon.

There's been a lack of birds here in my garden as well. Lots of blue jays eating me out of house and home though.
