My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

A Stroll along the South Bank and the River Thames with J...

I needed to go to London today as I was going  to collect Pete's lens which had been in for repair.  And as I had my grandson with me (who was forced from his bed at the unreasonable hour of 9.00 a.m. - one day I might be forgiven) we decided to walk along the river to a different station on the way back.

I was also trying out a lens that Pete had lent me... the Panasonic 14-45...so all pics taken with that using the Panasonic G3...

The 'Duck Tours' bus was very evident... it looks great fun .. but if we'd had more time....

Josh was getting hungry and his speed had quickened!!

We stopped to listen to Big Ben chiming High Noon on the river side.

And I saw a Penguin! :D

This was intriguing... we walked around the street artist and concluded that there must be a seat coming off his walking stick..hence the rather baggy clothes.. very clever!!  He seemed to be suspended in mid air.

This was amazing to watch.. it was descending and had been right at the top!!!

This is A-Maze of books (even more than Pete has :D  )

And this world atlas was made from Lego... about 1 million pieces of it...very clever!!

And after finding something to eat (and oh boy...I'd forgotten how much teenage boys need feeding!!) we strolled back to the station...

But an errand that turned into a good day out... thanks for your company J :D
