I awoke to fog... which thinned, a bit, to mist. The forecast said 'brighter and sunny intervals later'. Oh good, I thought. Pity I didn't get too excited as the mist and grey stayed around all day.
I went to Sheffield Park Gardens for autumn colour. Fortunately I've been many times before when the sun's been shining!
So with that, no more chat, just a few pics... not that brilliant I'm afraid :(
(Just as an exercise, if you've any preferences for the pics in any of the 3 sections, I would be interested in your reasons - used three cameras today to try to make some decisions).....
Section 1
Section 2
Section 3
These Gentians were covered in chicken wire; so don't know whether it was humans or animals that they were being protect from.. difficult to photograph!!

A wonderful selection of photos. Love them all.
Difficult to assess, really, as there are different subjects in different light. It might have been better to take the same photo with all three cameras, then post them one after the other. If you've done little or no processing, I would go for section 1.
You live in such a lovely area of the country, and take such picturesque photos! It is disappointing when the weather isn't as good as forecast, but getting out in the brisk air is fortifying anyway! I think Section 3's photos are a little sharper ... the colours more pronounced perhaps...but I loved them all. The swan certainly stands out in contrast to the mistier surroundings.
