My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

At Blickling, Norfolk, in brilliant sunshine

At crack of  dawn, Trev arrived to ferry Pete and me to Norfolk for the day.  We stopped at Walkers cafe for a hearty and welcome breakfast.

It was going to be a birding day but the wind was rather chilly along the beach at Salthouse.. And what a changed Salthouse it was following the recent gales and sea surges.

The car park is now gone... I'm amazed at the force required, with natural elements of sea and wind,  to move huge banks of shingle... all the familiar landmarks now removed.

The car park was once here..

erm erm... where's the road and car park gone?

It was a tad chilly so we headed off to Blickling Hall

We had a cuppa and a slice of Christmas cake then headed off for a walk

'The Hills are Alive'.... ?

The sun shone all day, and the company was good.. thanks Pete & Trev
