Polesden Lacey .. the long walk!

Off to Polesden Lacey today for a walk down hill, across dale, through the woods and back up the hill.

We walked as far as Ransmore Common and we rewarded with at least six Marbled White flutters..

A Small Skipper and..

a Roman Snail..

In the picnic area..

and then walking back through the woods..

It was a long walk, so a reward was a very tasty fresh fruit scone for 'scone'

and bumped into a couple of birding friends from Barnes.. nice to see you again John and Therese!!.
Great time out despite the strong winds and occasional shower!!!
