My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

Bourton House, Snowshill Manor and Sezincote Gardens

Stayed fairly local today and my day started at Bourton House.  It's a small garden and the house has never been open to the public being privately owned.

and from there to Snowshill Manor.... fascinating place.  It was the home of Charles Wade who collected many many items over time.  This is an amazing collection of just about everything.  The indoor pics aren't too good as the National Trust have maintained the low level lighting as in Wade's time...

A scone for lunch...

and then into the House!! The house was very crowded so wasn't able to take many pictures...

and finally, to Sezincote House and Gardens..

The house is a 200 year-old Mogul Palace set in an atmospheric garden.  The interior is amazing.. I'd been inside before so today as the sun was , finally, shining.. I stayed in the gardens.

I love Sezincote.. it's something so quirky and completely different.

Lovely day out... and sunshine for a change ....
