Sheffield Park Gardens.... the very first signs of Autumn..

Yesterday it was hot and sunny; today grey, drizzley and much cooler... a jacket was needed.

Despite the dullness, I headed of for Sheffield Park to see if Autumn colour was starting... it was... just :D .. in a few weeks it will be glorious!!

Mr Ponders and Fido - watching...

Mallards chasing Black-heded Gulls and vice versa for possession of the bread!!

There's a huge population of Mallards at Sheffield Park.  Sadly, because visitors will feed them (and with bread which is not good for ducks).. the minute anyone appears, the Mallards are drawn like magnets...

Would be lovely if the National Trust could provide notices asking visitors NOT to feed bread to the ducks....

A Scone to finish with.. not the usual standard as normally provided by Sheffield Park ...

Mallards eclipses are now starting to reverse. Good job Ponders doesn't have to go through that
