I met a friend at RHS Wisley today. Currently the gardens are 'dressed' for the "Glo" which is the evening them for the gardens when they are lit by illuminated flowers.
This morning, the sun was hiding and despite the forecast of "sunny intervals".. there were no intervals from the uniform grey... except for one which lasted about 3 minutes.
However.. a few pics..
Lots of birds around the feeders, all the usual suspects plus Coal Tit and Nuthatch.. Light was too dull for any acceptable photos.. there were, however, 3 Red-necked Parakeets!
Quite a few Camellias out!
There were a few stalls outside the gardens which were open when we left. And one of them was Truckles Cheese. They sometimes have "guest" cheeses and today as luck would have it, they had one of my favourites "Baron Bigod" from Fen Farm Dairy in Somerset.
So... a small purchase of that, together with Truckles Goats Cheese .. with attitude - and thoroughly approved of by Massimo and is very new housemate, Montague!

The 5th picture looked like a spider for a minute
Love the honeycomb tree carving, very unusual.
