Shivering at RSPB Rye Meads

I believe I can say that today was the first day I was FROZEN as I wandered around Rye Meads.. or rather walked briskly to keep warm. Nothing about very much in the way of birds; managed a quick shot of this Little Grebe. Needless to say the light was appalling and we'd had a "sprinkling" of snow in some areas

There are about 4 Konik horses at Rye Meads; I don't know if it was the sudden drop in temperature but they were in feisty mood and having a nip at each other.

It's been very cold here too Tricia, with a good sprinkling of snow. (thankfully gone now).
Dunno why horses do that, but I've seen a few do it.
