Petworth Park and House... in the March sunshine

I stayed local this morning and had a visit to Petworth Park.  Amazing numbers of daffodils greeted me as I arrived as did the songs of Blackcap, Chiffchaff and the "mewing" of 3 buzzards as they glided overhead - lovely.  Later a Nuthatched called as did Green Woodpecker; this in addition to the usual suspects.

More experiments with cameras: any constructive criticism welcomed.

These first 2 shots I grabbed as I pulled over in the car having seen the buzzards... not that good

And these all taken with the Panasonic GF1 and 14-45mm lens (new one!!)

 looking upwards....

and this is the ceiling picture; which was pretty impressive!!

and finally, taken with the Panasonic G3 with 45-200 lens..

These final picture (thank goodness I hear you say) have been cropped but not edited other than that..

Think I'm beginning to get the hang of the new camera.. lots to learn still though...

Lovely pics Tricia, have you seen the Egyptian geese at Benbow pond? There were 8 babies when we saw them yesterday, so cute!! They were being protected by their parents and a large white goose!

Nice photos as usual, the lovely weather we've been having recently has really made photos that bit nicer as well :)

I haven't kept up with my own blog over the last 6 months or followed other ones such as yours but hopefully I should be back to it soon :)

Hi Dave.. Not been to Benbow pond - will have to google it to find location Egyptian geese seem to produce much earler than other geese.

Hi Joe - great to see you back in circulation again; you're certainly correct about the better light making better pictures - makes me feel much better too :D
