Butterflies and pottering about..

This weekend we'd planned to be in Norfolk meeting friends but, due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, this wasn't possible.

However, part of the weekend was for me to deliver Pete's lens so we had a potter about instead.

Having seen reference to Butterfly World we decided to visit.  It's being expanded dramatically over the next 12 months when the Butterfly House will be considerably larger... but for today there was enough activity to satisfy our cameras!

From there we visited the home of George Bernard Shaw, known as Shaw's Corner.  A delighfully 'livable' house with very attractive gardens.  And by now there was some sunshine!

About a quarter of a mile from there is a church at Ayot St Lawrence.  Pete had not described this and I was amazed at such an imposing building in the middle of nowhere!

Feeling rather hungry, we stopped to buy something for lunch and then had a gentle walk along the canal at Dobbs Weir.

A really enjoyable day out...... :D

I love Shaw's house and garden. Love the flutters and bugs too.
