Weather forecast has been grim for this weekend. Yesterday, the venue was Hatfield Forest.. it was so dark and grey but great to see a Black Rabbit, Green Woodie who kept playing peek-a-boo and wouldn't pose.. various ducks and Geese and (at least) six Great Crested Grebes. Three pairs, one of which was already nest building. Great :D
There's a new small flock of sheep grazing there..
Very haughty to ...
the very bored! This one didn't look very excited to be where it was .... ;)
Today, well the forecast was for heavy rain so somewhere indoors was thought to be the best option. Anglesey Abbey was open so.....
The best of the snowdrops are now over really but still many of them about. And in one or two places , daffodils were shining through.
So off for a wander around the house..
That toilet seat looks rather viscious!
I never tire of this view!
A stop for lunch, Leek and Potato Soup with a cheese scone... very nice. I didn't look at the cake!!
And after a heavy shower, the sun peeped through and very welcome it was too!
The Rose Garden.. freshly planted and ready for summer!

Some lovely photos there Tricia :) Looks a really wonderful place to visit and I could lose myself for weeks in that library :)
Thanks Caroline. The library is magnificent and some clever architecture.. it has mirrors at each of the four corners of the room making it look very much larger than it is!! Could spend quite a bit of time there...
