It was quite cool as I headed off this morning but got hotter as the day went on. I'd heard there was a Pectoral Sandpiper and a Wood Sandpiper at Pulborough.
Well I managed the Wood but the Pectoral, had vanished before I got to Nettley's hide.... eh ho!
Loads of butterflies around today.... those I saw earlier in the morning were reasonably still warming their wings in the sunshine.
Saw a Green Woodie fly and lots of greylags... quiet other than that.
Just a few pics.
The feeders were as popular as ever with some of the usual culprits!!
Flutters everywhere..
Small skipper
Green Sandpiper...
Goldfinch..
One Little Egret
and whilst I was sitting watching, this Fallow Deer appeared followed by two young ones.. (the 2nd one wouldn't appear out of the long grass)
Peacock - wings open
Peacock - wings closed
This area of water had complete dried up....
Looks more like something out of the Wild West!
and a Babe!!
So that was that.... was going to Warnham for a photographic experiment but needed some shopping and it was getting hot...
A pleasant wander nonetheless!!
