An afternoon at Audley

The forecast was for a very dull afternoon, so straight after lunchtime we headed off to Audley End which is undergoing some major restoration and building works...  the scaffolding alone is quite an amazing construction..

At the time we arrived the light wasn't too bad and not too cold either..

however it wasn't long before we lost the sun and a chilly breeze got up...

Some more snowdrops... lovely... :)

Feeling like something warm we headed off to the cafe for a cuppa and, what turned out to be, a very large slice of carrot cake!!!!
