My blog is mostly about wildlife, particularly birds, walking, days out, all growing things and anything else that comes to mind.

Kingston upon Thames... revisited...

I had a an urge to go back to Kingston.. woke up with the thought... I do like it as a town.  It has an excellent variety of shops all close together.. The town is attractive, and it's on the River Thames.  Lots of riverside cafes and restaurants and plenty in the ancient market place too.

The Glass dome of the roof of the Bentall Centre

and despite wanting to shop for a specific item, the sun was shining and I couldn't resist going down to the river which is about 2 minutes from the main shopping centre.

Kingston has been home to dozens of Mute Swans for as long as I can remember.  I first lived in Kingston many years ago!  There must have been at least 50 in this one spot today.

A sculpture of Mallards... Mr. Ponders would have approved  :D

Amazing narrow boat moored up..

Don't know what this is!!

Oooops .. wont't be going far

Just caught these two Canada Geese as they flew over ..... completely wrong camera for birds in flight so quite pleased the camera caught these two ..

Back through the main shopping street to the car park...

The Parish Church

There are always street musicians of all different genres in the shopping precinct...

As soon as I'm able, I hope to move back nearer Kingston...... one day......

Your black headed gulls are putting on their summer hats. Silly birds. They should be taking them off.
