Warnham LNR... on a very hot afternoon!!

Temperatures have soared... but felt I needed to get out .. so went local to Warnham.. even the birds and bees were keeping hidden from the sun!

A Greenfinch near the Woodpecker hide

out on the water, one of three Great Crested Grebes

The light was glary and the water level very low..

A Grey Heron had a bath to keep cool

and about 60 Greylag Geese.. unusually quiet ..

and a couple of Mallards perched.. quite still in the afternoon heat!!
