Claremont Gardens.. new leaves on trees and warmth

Off to Claremont Gardens today... it was a chilly wind but the clouds didn't produce the wet stuff and the sun came out periodically.  The light was strange today.. I bit glary.

But an excellent walk..

and saw my first full brood of Mallard Ducklings - 10 of them !!

Claremont is clearing a vast amount of growth which opens up new views.  This tree sculpture was in an adjoining private garden.. so restricted view.. marvellous carving though!!

Lunchtime and a fruit scone..

Lovely day out in excellent company.. thank you xx

Oh wow the ducklings! First little ones I've seen are great crested grebes - the last couple of years they have been the first to hatch locally.
