Not a very good day today so I thought it was about time for some more of my holiday to Scotland.
(What amazes me now is the relatively few number of pictures I took whilst in Scotland!!)
Dunkeld on the banks of the River Tay is is a small but very pretty town and, like most of Scotland, steeped in history. Most of it's history is tied up, in one way or another, with it's Cathedral.
Like most of our days (we were to discover) it was a matter of dodging the rain showers and this day was no exception. However, an enjoyable visit nonetheless.
A visit to Blair Castle was next on the cards. Blair Castle is the ancient seats of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl. I wasn't particularly impressed with the castle as a building. In fairness it was a very grey day and I don't particularly like white buildings.
And to finish for today, a couple of pics from Aberfeldy, again a town on the banks of the River Tay. As you can see, it was pouring with rain, but fortunately the little cafe (in the old church) provided welcome cuppas and great cakes!!!
It was my regret that the weather really prevented us from exploring the area properly - hey ho!
