Audley End.... and the sun shone for a bit!

Undecided where to go to in the afternoon, we settled on Audley End.

Quick nip over to Rye Meads in the morning to discover that most of the reserve is shut for some 'work in progress'.. so hardly any views of birds but did manage a Muntjac.

Then to Audley End... (was going to Amwell but decided to stretch our legs)

Lovely to see the colour and first bees!

Rhubarb coming up..

Interesting marking on this female Mallard!

I love the gold swath of reeds across the first photo.

Lovely photographs. I will definitely have to visit Audley End soon. I've never been to Rye Meads, but it sound as though it will also be worth a visit (when the work is over).
