A Shakespearean afternoon...

Today I went to my very first Shakespear play - Macbeth - at the Globe Theatre in London.  Given that the central area of the Globe is open to the elements we hoped it wouldn't rain!  Just a couple of showers - first one during the interval and then the second just after it ended.  Phew...

We walked through London in the summer sunshine to get to the Globe..

and the view on the opposite bank, St. Paul's Cathedral

I thoroughly enjoyed the production. Joseph Millson in the part of Macbeth and Samantha Spiro as Lady Macbeth gave marvellous performances and the emotional energy required was obvious... their characters carried you along....  The three witches were very good too...

Next time?  It's, by constrast, A Midsummer Night's dream... bring it on :D

Glad you enjoyed Tricia - it looks from one photo that you had seats exactly where ours were!! Some nice photos of London too.

Sounds like it was a wonderful day. What beautiful flowers outside that ale and pie place. I do like that red faced fellow, lol. Great shots all.
