Streets of London and La Rondine at Royal Opera House.. on the hottest day so far this year!

We set off early... but by 9.00 a.m. the temperature had risen to be very hot.  As the day progressed it reached the low to mid 80s... I don't like the heat very much.

As the Opera didn't start until lunch time, we got of the train at Liverpool Street and wandered through the streets of London and through the City

Many of the new buildings these days seem to be glass.... which gives some great reflections..

The opera was one of the lesser known... Puccini's La Rondine...  As I'm fairly new to going to opera's I always keep an open mind.

It was excellent.  The character's shone and their voices were amazing.  Magda was played by Ermonela Joho and Ruggero by Atalla Ayan.. an amazing performance by both of them supported more than ably by the remaining members of the cast.

The closing act, reduced me to tears so well was it peformed.
