Wigmore Hall again .. rather nicely too for some Chamber music.

We haven't been to Wigmore Hall for a while so it was good to go back again.

Today we were treated to a great performance by Gemma Rosefield(cello) and Tim Horton) piano. (more details at the end of this post)

It was bitterly cold today in a strong wind but great not to have it raining - so we left later than usual.

A short wander around the streets before going to the concert.

The music today was:

Beethoven Cello Sonata in F Op. 5 No. 1

Dvorak, Lid (Silent Woiods) Op. 68 No. 5

Richard Strauss Cello Sonata in F Op. 6

and as a great encore.

Richard Straus's Die Nacht.. a short but rather haunting piece.

Both Gemma Rosefield and Tim Horton were obviously so in tune with each other and a delight to listen to... such evocative music - particularly the Dvorak.
