Verona Day 5..Thursday and off to Milan

Our departure today was early... walked to the station for the early train to... Milan!!

first stop: the Duomo

and now we have tickets and are up to the top!!  by lift and then stairs!

and finally on terra firma!!

and THE shopping mall .. the Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II

San Fedele

and now for some lunch!

and then we met with new 'friends' for real.... Laura and Bianca.

Amazingly we saw two English telephone boxes!!

and finally off on the train back to Verona.. where after a cuppa and a rest we headed out for our evening meal.  And tonight there was, what seemed to be, a Car Rally of old cars.

and a setting sun...
