Hatfield Forest... a bit murky..

We travelled back up to Essex from Sussex and eventually headed off for a stroll around the Forest.  The weather wasn't good and promises of more thunder storms curtailed activities somewhat. Thunder storm during Friday nigh was very noisy and sleep was eluded!!

It was grey and murky so after some essential food shopping we headed off for the forest.

Mostly quiet out on the lake with the usual culprits.

Great to see the 2 adult Great Crested Grebes with 3 young still :)

Saw just the one adult Tern although one of the NT staff thought there were 2 young!!  Good to see a Kingfisher and 2 Marsh Tits..
